Maple
Weekend is a Family Event designed to showcase about 110 maple producers across New York State. Lewis County will be hosting open houses
for the public to see maple production. In the Croghan area you can visit Yancey's Sugarbush on Long Pond Road in Belfort; Pierce's Sugar Spigot on Route 812, Croghan and Swiss'er Sweet Maple on the Swiss Road in Croghan.
Participants will be boiling sap into maple syrup and many will
demonstrate the making of maple products. Of course, visitors can sample
and purchase the maple products. In addition some of the sugarhouses
will provide of variety of other activities to make your visit to them
